TEENS ART GROUP

ages: 13 -17 / 3-6 students / 1.5 hr

Students are invited to question, explore, experiment, and solve problems as they create and interact with art. It is an opportunity to study the processes of artists past and present from a variety of cultural perspectives. Small class sizes ensure that students of all levels benefit from these experiences.

This program has been developed in a way where the beginning is consisted of refreshing artistic knowledge and skills, before advancing.  Students will have the opportunity to convey feelings using artistic knowledge and skills and a verity of mediums.  This program will increase the student’s understanding of value, movement and conceptual thinking. Students will be exposed to artists and design principles which will serve them in the understanding of aesthetics as well as the idea of endless possibilities. Every class is constructed from a theoretical introduction (to an artist, movement or concept) and a practical creative session. 

After completing 6 months of the course, we will have a reunion in the form of an art exhibition in the studio. the students will take part in curating, mounting, and organizing the exhibition. The event will demonstrate student’s works as family and friends are invited to celebrate art and life.
